If your domain name is purchased through Ginkis, you can manage your domain through your Ginkis billing account.

  1. Log in to your Ginkis billing account here.
  2. In the "Dashboard" tab view overview you can see any invoices that you have that are due.  Below that you will see your domain(s) in the "Active & Billable Packages" section.  On the right side click on "Manage" to manage that particular domain name.
  3. You are now in the "Packages" tabbed view.  Click on "Domains" and you will see your domain(s) listed.  Click on the domain that you would like to manage.

Here you can:

Edit Contact Info - Please fill out the form with your current contact information.  It is very important that this is current so that you will not miss any notices that the domain is expiring.  Plus it is a requirement by ICANN that the domain name owner's information be on record.

Edit DNS Settings - All domain names purchased through Ginkis have the DNS settings (also called nameservers) of ns1.ginkis.com and ns2.ginkis.com.  If you are utilizing Ginkis' web hosting as well you will not need to change this setting.  However, if you are using another company for your web hosting needs you will have to enter that company's DNS settings.

Change Registrar Lock Setting - By default all domains are locked upon purchase to prevent any transfer. That is designed to protect against fraudulent activities such as domain name hijacking where an unauthorized person gains control over a domain.  It is strongly advised that you leave the domain name in locked status unless you are about to initiate a transfer to another registrar.

Change Autorenew Setting - If you would like to have your domain name autorenew then check the box.  Sometimes in our hectic lives we overlook certain details such as remembering to renew a domain name.  If this is activated your domain name will be renewed automatically when it comes time to renew.  An invoice will be generated and a notice will be sent to the email contact on record.

Change Domain Password - This is pretty self-explainatory.  You change the password associated with your domain name here.
